Why Volunteer?

Volunteer to make a difference, get experience to joy and enjoy the experience!

Habitat for Humanity is a grassroots, community based organization that relies on volunteers to build homes and hope in Cambodia.

There are many ways to become involved in Habitat’s work. Volunteers can help in one or more of the following areas:

Global Village

HFH Cambodia welcomes Global Village volunteers from all over the world. International teams join HFH Cambodia to work alongside our home partners as they build homes and toilets, make repairs and renovations or dig wells. This experience across cultures becomes an amazing journey for both the volunteer and the home partner. No experience is needed. If you are interested in joining a Habitat build in Cambodia, please visit www.habitat.org or your local Habitat for Humanity website to join or lead a Global Village team.

International Volunteer Program

Have you dreamed of traveling to another country, going beyond the tourist sites and making a meaningful contribution to society?

Do you want to wake up and know that by the day’s end you will have made a difference in the world?

Have you ever thought about dedicating your professional knowledge and skills to the movement to end poverty housing?

If you answered yes to any of the above, welcome to Habitat for Humanity’s International Volunteer Program! Join our long-term international volunteer program. Since its inception, Habitat for Humanity has relied on the commitment, spirit and expertise of volunteers to fuel its mission. The International Volunteer Program gives you the opportunity to serve with one of our overseas offices for several months. This program is not to be confused with Habitat’s Global Village program, which provides short-term two-week volunteer trips.
