Construction Training Program Update
In addition to addressing poverty housing, Habitat for Humanity Cambodia also provides capacity building to skilled workers to make sure all of our construction projects are built to the highest possible standards. To that end, on the 14th of August, the Phnom Penh Housing Community Development Program conducted skilled worker training.
Twenty two skilled workers from Vimean Trung Community, Kreang Tnung Commune, Sangkhat Sensok, and Phnom Penh joined the session to improve their capacity and understanding of the process of home building, the use of quality construction materials, and house maintenance.
In rural Siem Reap, fishermen and farmers were the main participants of the homeowner and skilled worker training held on September 20th. The participants were taught proper maintenance of the water and sanitation facilities built within their communities. The training was conducted at a variety of venues around Siem Reap for more than 85 participants from various communities.
