A four-day training workshop on Housing Finance was conducted by HFH Asia-Pacific in Bangkok from July 19 to 22, attended by staff from various Asia-Pacific offices. The training workshop was held to assist the participants’ further development in terms of promoting financial eduction in their programs. The training equipped attendees with more knowledge that enables them to develop, package and deliver portfolio training, base on the training needs of their country programs and to help them understand how to administer a Best Practice Compliance Chart. They were also provided with self-assessment tools to monitor and measure the performance and growth of a portfolio and a platform for the participants to develop clear guidelines for lending programs.

Mr. Phoung Sopheap, HFH Cambodia Northwest Program Coordinator shared, “There are good points from this workshop. One of the best things I learned is that I’m able to see the successful partnerships between other Habitat country program and Micro Finance Institutions. I will share the lessons I learned with HFH Cambodia.”
